Memorial Day Weekend

So this happened a while ago, but it was so fun, so I had to go back and write a post about it.

Over the three day weekend, we went up to visit Kenneth’s grandparents, and it was so fun! :) We visited both sets, and it was a blast. I don’t have a picture of Kenneth’s Grandma and Grandpa, but here’s Oma and Opa-

This is Oma and Opa. Love them! :)

We went to the Union Pacific Museum. It was a lot of fun! Opa is a wiz! He knows everything to know about the museum and he showed us cool stuff that even the workers didn’t know (like how a man wrote “Gene” up on the rafters of the ceiling).

We were nearing the end of the museum when we found this picture-

This is Kenneth's Great-Grandfather. He has a picture in the Union Station Museum! Cool!

Pretty neat! I don’t know the technical terms, but he basically guarded the cash, jewels, gold, guns, etc. on the trains. Pretty legit!

We were also spoiled to death! Not that I am complaining! :) To illustrate how fun Oma and Opa are, we were coming back from the museum and they said, “It’s time for lunch. Do you guys want cheeseburgers or milkshakes?” Of course, being five-year-olds, Ken and I choose milkshakes. We went to the notorious Farr’s Ice Cream.

For those Cincinnatians (I may have just made that word up), it's comparable to Graeter's Ice Cream.

Farr’s Ice Cream is way good. Oma and Opa treated us to it three times! (See, I told you we were spoiled.)

This is when Kenneth got a gold tooth. Doesn't it look like he has one?

Look! A double cone! Cool idea, right? Yummmmmm. :)

I keep on asking Kenneth when we can go back. I’ve probably asked him 10 times already. Anyway, such a fun weekend! Thanks Oma, Opa, Grandma, & Grandpa Bond!
